This 1906 E.S. Curtis photograph of a really exciting mask called for a unique frame. The simple flat profile has corner cuts designed to mimic shapes in the mask. Geometric shapes painted in black bole mimic patterns painted on the mask. The frame is gilded in 22k gold, heavily rubbed to show the underlying pattern.
