Saul Raskin self portrait

This is a self portrait of the Artist Saul Raskin. Much of Raskin's work features oddly intersecting planes, so I felt this multi-planed frame was a nice tribute. I was reading about the significance of the number phi (1.61803399) in physics and design. The various facets of this frame form a fibonacci sequence (each being 1.618 larger than the next). The frame is hand planed, spline-joined walnut with a gilded lip.
